.LIGHT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL CONTINUE OVER EASTERN
IOWA...NORTHEAST MISSOURI AND NORTHWEST ILLINOIS THIS EVENING AS A
STRONG WINTER STORM SLOWLY EXITS THE REGION. STRONG NORTH WINDS
WILL PRODUCE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW THROUGH THIS EVENING...
WITH NEAR WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES IN RURAL OR OPEN AREAS.
DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE...ESPECIALLY ON EAST TO
WEST RURAL ROADS...WHERE SOME ROADS MAY BE NEARLY IMPASSABLE DUE
TO DRIFTING SNOW. LOCALIZED POWER OUTAGES WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...LESS THAN ONE INCH OF ADDITIONAL
  ACCUMULATION.

* WINDS...NORTH 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH...DIMINISHING
  TO 15 TO 20 MPH BY MIDNIGHT.

* VISIBILITIES...LESS THAN A MILE WITH NEAR WHITEOUT CONDITIONS
  AT TIMES ESPECIALLY IN RURAL OR OPEN AREAS.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL REMAIN HAZARDOUS AND
  POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS DUE TO WHITE OUT CONDITIONS AND
  SLICK...SNOW COVERED ROADS. WEST TO EAST ROADS IN RURAL AREAS
  MAY BE NEARLY IMPASSABLE AT TIMES THIS EVENING DUE TO HEAVY
  DRIFTING. POWER OUTAGES WILL BE POSSIBLE DUE TO STRONG WINDS
  ACTING ON SNOW AND ICE COVERED POWERLINES AND TREE BRANCHES
  UNTIL WINDS DIMINISH LATER THIS EVENING.

A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA
THROUGH THIS EVENING.

SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY INTO EARLY EVENING WITH HEAVY
SNOWFALL RATES POSSIBLE IN THE MORNING. STRONG NORTHEAST TO NORTH
WINDS WILL DEVELOP BY AFTERNOON...CREATING WIDESPREAD BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW INTO THE EVENING. EVENT SNOW TOTALS BY LATE EVENING ARE
EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 6 TO 13 INCHES...WITH THE LIGHTEST AMOUNTS IN THE
FAR SOUTH.
