THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL
ILLINOIS...NORTHWEST ILLINOIS...WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS...EAST
CENTRAL IOWA...NORTHEAST IOWA...SOUTHEAST IOWA AND NORTHEAST
MISSOURI.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION WILL AFFECT THE AREA LATE TONIGHT
AND INTO TOMORROW MORNING. LIGHT SNOW WILL MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO
SLEET...THEN CHANGE TO FREEZING RAIN TOWARD MORNING. TOTAL
SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS ACROSS NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE AREA WILL
BE LESS THAN 2 INCHES. TOTAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE LESS THAN
ONE TENTH OF AN INCH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

A MIX OF FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET WILL CONTINUE EARLY TUESDAY
MORNING...SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80...AND SHOULD DEVELOP FOR A FEW
HOURS NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80. THE HEAVIEST PRECIPITATION
WILL FALL DURING RUSH HOUR. THIS COULD LEAD TO A MESSY COMMUTE IN
THE MORNING. BY MID MORNING...WARM AIR WILL SPREAD NORTH INTO ALL
OF EASTERN IOWA...NORTHEAST MISSOURI AND ILLINOIS. THIS WILL
CHANGE ANY LINGERING LIGHT FREEZING RAIN OVER TO RAIN...AND
MELTING ANY ACCUMULATION OF ICE ON SURFACES THAT DEVELOPED IN THE
EARLY MORNING HOURS.

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON...WITH
THE MAIN IMPACT BEING COLD WIND CHILLS. WIND CHILLS TUESDAY NIGHT
WILL REACH THE ZERO TO -20 RANGE...AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT...WIND
CHILLS MAY FALL TO THE -15 TO -25 RANGE.
