THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THURSDAY. THE WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE INTO THURSDAY MORNING.

* SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH 7 AM.

* SNOW SHOWERS WILL MOVE OFF TO THE EAST BY MID MORNING THURSDAY.

* ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS TONIGHT OF 4 TO 8 INCHES WITH
  LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS.

* PLAN ON VERY HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.

* VISIBILITIES WILL BE LESS THAN A QUARTER MILE IN SOME SPOTS
  WITH LOCAL WHITEOUT CONDITIONS EXPECTED.

TONIGHT...WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL OVER NORTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN
ALONG AND WEST OF THE US-131 CORRIDOR.  SEE ONGOING WINTER

SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...WITH
OCCASIONAL HEAVIER SNOW BURSTS EXPECTED...ESPECIALLY THURSDAY
NIGHT ACROSS EASTERN UPPER AND FRIDAY OVER NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN
WITH PASSAGE OF AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT.

BITTERLY COLD AIR WILL PUSH INTO NORTHERN MICHIGAN BEHIND THE
ARCTIC FRONT STARTING FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND CONTINUING SATURDAY.
DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS ARE LIKELY FRIDAY NIGHT INTO
SATURDAY.

COLD TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEK MAY LEAD TO ICE
JAMMING ON AREA RIVERS.
