THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN...
EASTERN UPPER MICHIGAN...AND ADJACENT NEARSHORE WATERS OF LAKE
MICHIGAN...LAKE HURON...AND LAKE SUPERIOR.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF FREEZING DRIZZLE ACROSS NORTHWEST LOWER
MICHIGAN TODAY...MAINLY IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN THIS MORNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

THERE IS A CHANCE FOR A LITTLE FREEZING RAIN ACROSS THE HIGHER
TERRAIN AREAS OF NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN MONDAY NIGHT. WHILE
TEMPERATURES MAY CLIMB ABOVE FREEZING...SECONDARY AND SNOW COVERED
ROADS REMAIN COLD AND MAY BECOME COVERED BY A THIN LAYER OF ICE...
WITH SLICK TRAVEL POSSIBLE.

A STORM SYSTEM WILL IMPACT MUCH OF THE GREAT LAKES REGION INTO
MIDWEEK. THE LATEST TRENDS WITH THIS STORM SUGGEST THAT MUCH IF NOT
ALL PRECIPITATION WILL BE IN THE FORM OF RAIN...PERHAPS BRIEFLY
CHANGING TO SNOW LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT BEFORE ENDING CHRISTMAS
MORNING. AT THIS TIME...LITTLE OR NO SNOW ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED.
IN ADDITION...THE CHANCE FOR QUITE WINDY CONDITIONS APPEARS GREATLY
DIMINISHED.

HOWEVER...IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THERE REMAINS SOME UNCERTAINTY
WITH THE EVENTUAL TRACK OF THIS STORM...AND ANY CHANGE IN THE
FORECAST TRACK COULD LEAD TO A RENEWED THREAT FOR WINTRY WEATHER
OVER NORTHERN MICHIGAN TOWARD CHRISTMAS. THOSE WITH TRAVEL PLANS
SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECAST INFORMATION EARLY
THIS WEEK.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT ANTICIPATED THROUGH MIDWEEK. HOWEVER...
SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO RELAY REPORTS OF FREEZING RAIN OR
FREEZING DRIZZLE AT ANY TIME.
