THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN NORTH
DAKOTA...WEST CENTRAL AND NORTHWEST MINNESOTA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED EAST OF A LINE
FROM PARKERS PRAIRIE TO WEST OF PINECREEK MINNESOTA. WEST OF THE
SLIGHT RISK AREA...A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IS
EXPECTED EAST OF A LINE FROM HERMAN MINNESOTA TO ERHARD TO
HUMBOLDT MINNESOTA. WHILE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSHOWERS WILL MOVE
ACROSS THE AREA THIS MORNING. MORE THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP
THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING OVER NORTHWEST MINNESOTA. THE STORMS
WILL PRIMARILY PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS. THE STORMS WILL MOST LIKELY
OCCUR BETWEEN NOON TO 5 PM CDT.

ALSO A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR ABOUT THE NORTHWEST HALF OF
THE AREA. SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS OF 15 TO 30 MPH WITH HIGHER
GUSTS TO 50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE. THE ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM
TO 11 PM CDT.

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA AND PRODUCE THE SEVERE
WEATHER.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND FORKS HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 11 PM
CDT THIS EVENING.

* WINDS...BECOMING SOUTHWEST 30 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.
  THE STRONGEST WINDS SHOULD BE IN THE DEVILS LAKE BASIN...WITH
  GUSTS TO 55 MPH POSSIBLE.

* TIMING...THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* IMPACTS...WAVES OF 4 TO 6 FEET MAY BE GENERATED IN THE DEVILS
  LAKE BASIN AND OVER OTHER LARGE LAKES...RESULTING IN ROADBED
  EROSION IN SUSCEPTIBLE AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
