NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE
1120 AM CDT THU MAY 28 2015

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Nebraska...

  Platte River at Brady North Channel affecting Lincoln County.

.Recent heavy rainfall combined with melting snow in the Rockies
will keep river levels high the next few days.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety Message. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where water
covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your
car to cross safely and the road beneath may not be intact. Vehicles
caught in rising waters should be abandoned quickly.

NOAA Weather Radio, radio and television stations or online at
www.weather.gov/northplatte.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Platte River at Brady North Channel.
* Until further notice.
* At 12:30 AM Thursday the stage was 8.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding will continue.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 8.8 feet by this
  evening. The river will hold nearly steady the next few days.
* Impact...At 9.0 feet...Moderate flood stage. West of Brady flooding
  occurs between McCullough Road and East Island Road and Interstate
  80. East of Brady flooding of agricultural land occurs near
  Interstate 80. Both of the north channels may overflow.

  The South Platte River at North Platte.
* Through Thursday June 4th.
* At 9:45 AM Thursday the stage was 13.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding will continue.
* Forecast...The river will hold steady near 13.4 feet through
  Tuesday June 2nd then slowly begin to fall. The river will will
  fall below flood stage Wednesday June 3rd.
* Impact...At 13.5 feet...Water may begin to flow over Buffalo Bill
  Road just north of the South Platte River bridge.

NEBRASKA LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE MAIN THREAT WITH
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN.

RIVER LEVELS CONTINUE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE ON PORTIONS OF THE PLATTE
RIVER SYSTEM. PLEASE REFER TO THE LATEST FLOOD STATEMENTS FOR
FURTHER DETAILS.
