256 PM CDT MON MAY 2 2016 /156 PM MDT MON MAY 2 2016/

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND
NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING ACROSS PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL NEBRASKA. SEVERE WEATHER
IS NOT EXPECTED.

HEAVY PRECIPITATION OVER THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS HAVE INCREASED
RUNOFF WITHIN SMALL CREEKS AND RIVERS FROM HAYES COUNTY NORTHEAST
THROUGH HOLT...BROWN...ROCK AND BOYD COUNTIES. THIS AREA INCLUDES
THE PLATTE...NORTH PLATTE AND SOUTH PLATTE RIVERS THROUGH SOUTH
WEST NEBRASKA AND THE COUNTIES OF CUSTER...GARFIELD AND WHEELER
WHERE SEVERAL REPORTS OF STANDING WATER IN FIELDS AND WATER OVER
ROADS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. USE CAUTION IN AND AROUND AREAS WHERE
WATER IS MOVING...AS IT IS DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE THE SPEED OR
DEPTH OF THE WATER.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

INCREASED RUNOFF THREAT REMAINS THROUGH MUCH OF THE WEEK DUE TO
ABNORMALLY WET CONDITIONS...BUT THE PROSPECTS OF ADDITIONAL
PRECIPITATION THIS COMING WORK WEEK IS LOW. THE NEXT CHANCE FOR
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARRIVES OVER THE WEEKEND.

THE STORMS NEXT WEEKEND MAY BE ON THE STRONG OR SEVERE SIDE AS AN
UPPER LEVEL TROUGH DIGS ACROSS THE SOUTHERN ROCKIES AND WARM
FRONT STRETCHES ACROSS THE PLAINS. HEAVY RAINFALL WOULD ACCOMPANY
ANY STRONG OR SEVERE STORM SATURDAY EVENING.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT.
