THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND
NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

RIVER LEVELS CONTINUE TO RISE ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH PLATTE
RIVERS AS WELL AS THE MAIN STEM OF THE PLATTE RIVER. REFER TO THE
LATEST FLOOD STATEMENTS FOR MORE DETAILS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AND MOVE ACROSS
MUCH OF WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA DURING THE DAY
WEDNESDAY. WHILE A FEW STORMS MAY BECOME STRONG AND PRODUCE GUSTY
WINDS AND SMALL HAIL...WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED.

A STRONGER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA THURSDAY
AND IS EXPECTED TO GENERATE MORE THUNDERSTORMS THAT WILL MOVE
INTO WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA THURSDAY. A FEW STORMS MAY
DEVELOP EARLY IN THE AFTERNOON ACROSS SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA...WITH
ADDITIONAL STORMS MOVING INTO THE AREA THURSDAY EVENING AND
OVERNIGHT. SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE WITH LARGE
HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN THE PRIMARY SEVERE WEATHER
THREATS.

THE ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN WILL CONTINUE INTO THE FIRST PART OF
THE WEEKEND AS WELL BEFORE A DECREASE IN THUNDERSTORMS IS
EXPECTED TOWARD THE FIRST OF NEXT WEEK.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Nebraska...

  Platte River at Brady North Channel affecting Lincoln County.

.Recent very heavy rain across northeast Colorado and the southern
panhandle of Nebraska are combining with high water from above
normal Rocky Mountain snow melt to create flooding along the South
Platte River and Platte River. The latest crest forecast for Brady
North Channel remains at 8.7 feet Thursday evening through Friday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety Message. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where water
covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your
car to cross safely and the road beneath may not be intact. Vehicles
caught in rising waters should be abandoned quickly.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Platte River at Brady North Channel.
* until further notice.
* At  6:00 PM Tuesday the stage was 8.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 8.7 feet by
  Thursday evening then begin falling Friday evening.
* Impact...At 9.0 feet...Moderate flood stage. West of Brady flooding
  occurs between McCullough Road and East Island Road and Interstate
  80. East of Brady flooding of agricultural land occurs near
  Interstate 80. Both of the north channels may overflow.

  South Platte River at North Platte affecting Lincoln County.

.Recent very heavy rain across northeast Colorado and the southern
panhandle of Nebraska is combining with high water from above
normal Rocky Mountain snow melt to create flooding along the South
Platte River. The latest crest forecast for the South Platte
River at North Platte is 13.1 feet by Thursday morning.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The South Platte River at North Platte.
* from late Wednesday night to Saturday afternoon.
* At  8:45 PM Tuesday the stage was 12.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early Thursday morning and
  continue to rise to near 13.1 feet by Thursday evening.The river
  will fall below flood stage Friday afternoon.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...Flood Stage. Flooding of yards and roads may
  occur around Hidden Lakes. Most of Iron Eagle Golf Course becomes
  submerged. Backwash may occur into sewer and storm drains in
  the city of North Platte.
