...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 PM MDT SATURDAY FOR
SOUTHWESTERN PENNINGTON AND NORTHEASTERN CUSTER COUNTIES...

AT 950 PM MDT...VERY HIGH STREAMFLOWS AND MINOR FLOODING CONTINUES
ALONG RAPID CREEK DOWNSTREAM FROM PACTOLA RESERVOIR TO THE CHEYENNE
RIVER AND ALONG SPRING CREEK BOTH UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM OF
SHERIDAN LAKE. MINOR FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE
WEEKEND.

DRY CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...ALLOWING CREEKS
AND STREAMS TO BEGIN TO RECEDE. HOWEVER...THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE
EARLY NEXT WEEK AND SINCE THE SOIL IS SATURATED...ANY RAIN THAT
FALLS WILL QUICKLY FLOW INTO RAPID CREEK AND SPRING CREEK RESULTING
IN ADDITIONAL RISES.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
RAPID CITY...HILL CITY...RAPID VALLEY...JOHNSON SIDING...HISEGA...
CAPUTA...FOLSOM...FARMINGDALE...AND ROCKERVILLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

CREEKS AND STREAMS IN THE BLACK HILLS AND THE ADJACENT PLAINS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

DRY WEATHER IS EXPECTED ON SATURDAY. OTHERWISE...THERE IS A
CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER VARIOUS PARTS OF THE AREA
EACH DAY FROM SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.
