.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEAST WYOMING...INCLUDING
THE INTERSTATE 80 AND 25 CORRIDORS TODAY. A WINTER STORM WARNING
REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MOST OF SOUTHEAST WYOMING THROUGH TONIGHT.
SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS TO HOLIDAY TRAVEL ARE EXPECTED WITH SNOW
COVERED ROADS...SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...AND REDUCED
VISIBILITIES IN AREAS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE ON FRIDAY WITH ADDITIONAL LIGHT SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE. AFTER A BREAK ON SATURDAY...A STRONG
ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL RAPIDLY MOVE SOUTHWARD ACROSS THE AREA
SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT. BITTER COLD TEMPERATURES...DANGEROUS WIND
CHILLS...AND ANOTHER CHANCE FOR SNOW IS EXPECTED BY SUNDAY NIGHT

.A WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN REGION
TODAY AND NIGHT. THIS STORM SYSTEM WILL PRODUCE ACCUMULATING SNOW
AND GUSTY WINDS ACROSS THE REGION. 5 TO 8 INCHES IS GENERALLY
EXPECTED OUTSIDE OF THE MOUNTAINS IN SOUTHEAST WYOMING...WHILE 2
TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW IS LIKELY ACROSS THE NEBRASKA PANHANDLE.
UPWARDS OF A FOOT OF SNOW LIKELY INTO THE SNOWY AND SIERRA MADRE
RANGES. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF LATE TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY AS THE STORM
SYSTEM MOVES EAST INTO THE PLAINS.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER SOUTHEAST WYOMING BY EARLY
  AFTERNOON AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT. SNOW WILL BE HEAVY
  AT TIMES IN THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING...ESPECIALLY IN AND
  NEAR THE SOUTHERN LARAMIE RANGE AND ALONG THE CHEYENNE RIDGE.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...5 TO 8 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
  AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. 8 TO 12 INCHES POSSIBLE IN THE SOUTHERN
  LARAMIE RANGE AND EASTERN FOOTHILLS.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS OF 15 TO 20 MPH
  WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH WILL COMBINE WITH FALLING SNOW TO REDUCE
  VISIBILITIES TO LESS THAT ONE HALF MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...THOSE TRAVELING LATE AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT WILL
  EXPERIENCE VERY HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. TRAVEL MAY EVEN
  BECOME IMPOSSIBLE AS HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW SIGNIFICANTLY
  REDUCE VISIBILITIES AND DRIFTING OCCURS.
