December 23, 2009 Freezing Fog Plagues Rapid City

Dense freezing fog rolled into Rapid City early in the morning on December 23, 2009. The freezing fog lasted until early Christmas Day. The fog accumulated on trees, buildings, and power lines. The resulting hoar frost was about two inches long at the National Weather Service Office in Rapid City, SD. A few pictures are available below.
