September 20, 2011 High Winds across Western South Dakota and Northeastern Wyoming

A strong storm system moved across the northern Plains September 19-20, bringing high winds to the Black Hills region. Gusty winds developed behind a cold front that moved through the area during the night of Monday, September 19 and continued through the day Tuesday, September 20. The table below lists the peak wind gusts for weather stations across the area.
