  James River Near Stratford

.The following river forecasts include forecast precipitation through
the next 24 hours. Any additional future precipitation could affect
the forecasts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Flood waters can be very dangerous. never drive
across a flooded road...Turn around dont drown!

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA AND
NORTHEASTERN WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE OVER NORTHEASTERN WYOMING THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SEVERE STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

A STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA
SATURDAY INTO MONDAY. AROUND AN INCH OF RAIN IS EXPECTED DURING
THIS TIME...ESPECIALLY SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY...WITH SOME
LOCATIONS POSSIBLY RECEIVING AROUND ONE AND A HALF INCHES. CREEKS
AND STREAMS ARE RUNNING HIGH FROM THE RECENT STORMS...ESPECIALLY
ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA. THIS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL MAY
CAUSE MORE FLOODING AROUND THESE AREAS.

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST SATURDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK. WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED
AT THIS TIME.
