  North Fork Edisto River At Orangeburg affecting Orangeburg COUNTY

.Significant rainfall over the past few days will continue minor flooding near
the North Fork of the Edisto River near Orangeburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...never drive vehicles through flooded areas. The
water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to
play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to noaa weather radio...
local media or the internet for further statements and updated
forecasts.

  The North Fork Edisto River At Orangeburg.
* UNTIL LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  8 PM Monday the stage was 8.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 8.7 feet on
  Wednesday afternoon. The river may fall below flood stage by Sunday.
* At 8.0 feet...Some minor flooding occurs along the boardwalk at
  Edisto Gardens. Downstream from the Highway 301 bridge, some roads
  off Chiquita street near the river begin to flood.

  The Edisto River Near Givhans Ferry.
* FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
* At 7 PM Monday the stage was 9.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, rise above flood stage by early Wednesday morning and
  continue to rise to near 11.0 feet by Thursday evening. Additional
  rises are possible thereafter.
* At 11.0 feet, Weeks Landing in Canadys is not accessible.
