AT 436 AM EDT...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED NEAR STANTON...
MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH.

LOCATIONS AFFECTED INCLUDE...BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO...CAT CREEK
AROUND 445 AM EDT...BOWEN AROUND 450 AM EDT...LOMBARD AROUND 455 AM
EDT...NADA AROUND 500 AM EDT...SLADE AROUND 505 AM EDT...

RESIDENTS SHOULD EXPECT TORRENTIAL RAIN...WITH RAINFALL RATE OF TWO
INCHES PER HOUR OR MORE...GUSTY WINDS OF 40 TO 50 MPH...FREQUENT
LIGHTNING AND SMALL HAIL IN THESE AREAS.

THE HEAVY RAIN WILL LIKELY CAUSE PONDING OF WATER ON AREA ROADWAYS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL LIKELY CAUSE SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS TODAY MAINLY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING
HOURS. SOME STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME STRONG TO SEVERE...WITH
DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. IN ADDITION...SOME STORMS WILL
CAUSE VERY HEAVY RAINFALL POTENTIALLY LEADING TO LOCALIZED
FLOODING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

SCATTERED AFTERNOON AND EVENING STORMS ARE POSSIBLE THURSDAY
THROUGH SATURDAY WITH STORM COVERAGE DECREASING EACH DAY AS A
LARGE DOME OF HIGH PRESSURE MOVES IN FROM THE SOUTHWEST. STORMS ON
THURSDAY COULD BECOME STRONG TO SEVERE WITH DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE
HAIL...AND TORRENTIAL RAINFALL POSSIBLE.

SUMMER HEAT WILL ARRIVE THIS WEEKEND. EXPECT HIGH TEMPERATURES SOLIDLY
IN THE 90S OVER THE AREA STARTING FRIDAY AND LASTING THROUGH THE
BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK. HOT TEMPERATURES AND ELEVATED HUMIDITY
WILL RESULT IN HEAT INDICES IN THE UPPER 90S AND LOW 100S EACH
AFTERNOON FRIDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
