WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS TODAY AND WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE MUCH OF THE AREA
TONIGHT. SNOWFALL TOTALS SHOULD RANGE FROM JUST UNDER 2 INCHES IN
WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS TO A TRACE ACROSS NORTHEAST IOWA AND
NORTHWEST ILLINOIS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING AND EARLY
AFTERNOON IN LOCATIONS GENERALLY SOUTH OF AN OTTUMWA TO PRINCETON
ILLINOIS LINE. ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION AROUND AN INCH IS POSSIBLE
IN THAT AREA...WITH ONLY A TRACE EXPECTED FARTHER NORTH. THE TOTAL
ACCUMULATION OF SNOW FROM TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON IS
EXPECTED TO BE ONLY A DUSTING NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80...AND 1 TO 3
INCHES FARTHER SOUTH.

ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM WILL IMPACT THE REGION MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH
TUESDAY EVENING. THE TRACK AND STRENGTH OF THIS STORM IS NOT YET
HIGH CONFIDENCE. THE CURRENT THINKING IS THAT THIS STORM WILL
BRING A WINTRY MIX OF SNOW AND SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN LATE MONDAY
NIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING...FOLLOWED BY A PERIOD OF RAIN TUESDAY
AS TEMPERATURES WARM ABOVE FREEZING. THE RAIN WILL THEN TRANSITION
BACK TO SNOW FROM WEST TO EAST AS COLD AIR SWEEPS BACK INTO THE
REGION TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. NEW SNOW AMOUNTS APPEAR TO BE
LIGHT AT THIS TIME. PLEASE KEEP UP TO DATE ON THIS POSSIBLE WINTER
STORM SYSTEM...AS CHANGES TO EXACT DETAILS ON RAIN...FREEZING RAIN
