Thunderstorms will be possible across western Iowa Wednesday, pushing eastward overnight tonight. Thunderstorm chances will continue across Iowa through weekend as a series of upper level system pass through the region. The greatest thunderstorm chances come late in the day and overnight through the period. A few severe storms may occur with each episode, with the greatest chances for severe weather Thursday. There is a slight risk for severe weather across much of northwestern Iowa for Thursday. temperatures will continue to warm throughout the week, with high temperatures reaching around 90 degrees by Friday. Heat Index readings Friday will be near 100 across much of Iowa. Overnight, low temperatures will cool into the 60s and 70s by the end of the week.
