A typical late summer weather pattern will keep very warm and humid conditions in place throughout the weekend. Scattered thunderstorms with heavy rainfall will end over the region by late in the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s to lower 90s both days. Heat index readings will be as high as 95 north of interstate 80 to as high as 100 to 105 to the south during the afternoon and early evening hours.
