Graphical depiction of the weather story for today.

One last mild day today before we realize what late November weather can be like. A low pressure system over southeast Colorado will strengthen as it moves into northeast Kansas by late tonight. Showers and even a few rumbles of thunder will form over eastern Kansas this evening and spread across most of the forecast area overnight. As the low pressure system passes by gusty westerly winds will usher in colder air, with temperatures 10 to 15 degrees colder than today. The threat of rain will linger for most of the day with Northern Missouri having the greatest chance for periods of rain. Below normal temperatures will continue into Thanksgiving with possibly a few flurries visiting northeast Missouri.
