Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop this evening over central Kansas and Nebraska. These storms will track to the east through the overnight hours, decreasing in strength as they do. The remaining strong storms are expected to move into eastern Kansas and western Missouri late Wednesday night and persist through the Thursday morning rush hour before tracking to the east through the remainder of the late morning and afternoon hours. While severe weather is not expected Thursday morning, a few storms may produce small hail and strong wind gusts.
