Graphical depiction of the weather story for today.

Warmer temperatures are expected to move into the area starting today and it appears temperatures will average above normal through most of the upcoming holiday week. In addition, several storm systems are expected to bring precipitation into the Midwest next week with the first storm arriving on Monday which will bring rain into the area. The rain will continue into late Tuesday night or Wednesday morning before changing over to light snow before ending. At this time, it appears any accumulations will be on the light side with the better threat for accumulating snows just to our east on Wednesday. Another storm system will quickly push into the Plains late Thursday night into Friday bringing a threat for rain or snow into the Midwest.
