Heat and humidity will hold through the Labor day weekend. The increased humidity will lead to at least some small chances of precipitation through the weekend. The best chances for showers and storms will come late Saturday night through Sunday as an upper level storm system pushes its way across the region. The abundance of moisture, combined with this organized system will lead to the potential for locally heavy rainfall and possible flooding. The unsettled weather will continue through next week, with the main precipitation chances being more confined to the afternoon and evening periods.
A Graphical Nowcast also is in effect.
