A strong cold front will bring sharply colder weather, rain, and eventually snow to eastern Kentucky tonight. The combination of colder temperatures, combined with the light precipitation, could result in some slick roads from late this evening into Friday morning. Another storm system will begin impacting the region through the day on Sunday as mostly a mix of rain and snow. Colder air filtering in behind this system will change this mix to snow late Sunday into Monday. This system brings a better potential for accumulating snow but as can be seen by the potential low tracks there remains a great deal of uncertainty.
A Graphical Nowcast also is in effect.
