The high pressure responsible for the cool weather will begin to exit the area today. The southerly flow that develops in the wake of the high will be transporting warmer and increasingly more humid air into the area during the upcoming weekend. This will mean a return of more seasonal temperatures, but it will also set the stage for several rounds of showers and thunderstorms Saturday through Sunday...with the threat of storms continuing into Monday as well.
