Light snow or drizzle will slowly come to an end this Christmas morning near Lake Superior, with a mostly cloudy sky remaining. Look for the return of light snow tonight into Friday, with only a dusting to around in inch anticipated. Low pressure pushing across Lower Michigan from the Southern Plains on Saturday should bring a widespread 1 to 3 inches of new wet snow. Behind the exiting low pressure system, north to northwest winds will allow 1 to 4 inches of lake effect snow to fall on Sunday. Cooler air pouring into the area Saturday into Sunday will allow high temperatures on Sunday to only climb into the upper teens to mid 20s.
